From Chaos to Calm: My Life-Changing Grounding Rituals for Surviving a Wild Week

Radiance, glow, and a sense of calm amidst the chaos—these are things that we all aspire to, especially during a wild week. Easier said than done, I know!

It’s pre-order launch week for our long-awaited Radiance Sun Milk SPF 50+, a product that took more than five years of development to meet the highest standards. We’ve all been so excited to unveil our groundbreaking, clean SPF 50+ with age-delay benefits for the most discriminating beauty lovers.

Everything seems to be happening at once, with press meetings, employee reviews, and a million other things on my plate. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed, and even a little bit lost in the “gorgeous chaos.”

The entire team has been on pins and needles preparing this unveiling. With so much excitement and anticipation in the air, I wanted to share some of the things that have been helping me stay grounded, centered, and feeling (and looking!) radiant.

First, I start each day with an 11-minute morning ritual that includes breathwork and Kundalini yoga exercises. Kundalini yoga is a form of movement meditation and breath work that helps me activate my feminine energy, creativity, and intuition.

I love it because there's a lot of movement involved, which helps me hold my attention. It's a beautiful way to start the day feeling energized and focused.

Second, I've been focusing on nourishing my skin, which has been feeling dehydrated and stressed out lately. I've been using a combination of moisture serums and creams, layering them from thin-to-thick consistency.

My go-to products include the Chamomile Moisture Mask, which cocoons the skin with hyaluronic acid, and the Red Raspberry Nourish Serum, along with the Truffle Face Cream for vitamin B radiance. And, of course, I finish with our Radiance Sun Milk SPF 50+, which not only protects my skin but also gives the skin a sheer glow.

Third, I've been cooking up a storm for my partner, who is currently fasting all day to observe Ramadan. I've been making lentil soups, lamb stews, and other nourishing meals.

This is a way for me to relax after work and spend some quality time with my partner in the kitchen. Plus, you can't cook and be on your iPhone, so it's a great way to unplug and unwind.

Fourth, I've been making time for laughter with friends. I've scheduled quality time with good friends over a meal, and we always end up laughing until we cry. Not only is laughter the best medicine, but it's also an easy way to feel lighter and brighter during a wild week.

Plus, if you laugh until you cry, your body releases toxins and stress, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. So, don't underestimate the power of a good laugh with friends!

Finally, I've been taking long, brisk walks after a meal. These walks are in New York City, and there's always so much to see and experience. The city sounds, skyscrapers, and all of the spring Cherry blossoms are a feast for the eyes. After a brisk 45-minute walk, I feel so much less stressed and revived.

Grounding rituals like these are essential during chaotic times. They help us stay centered, calm, and focused, and they remind us to take care of ourselves, both inside and out. Having one of these weeks? Try infusing some of these rituals into your daily routine!

Here’s to beauty, belly laughs, and sunny days (with SPF + a floppy hat) ahead! xx
