Tap Into Your Spiritual Intelligence (see the chart!)

I recently sat down for a chat with Danielle Craig, podcast host of Happiness in Progress. Danielle, an Emmy-award winner, former journalist, mom, and wife who seeks everyday joy, asked me about Spiritual Intelligence and how we can access it (around the 24:00 minute mark.)

In today’s blog, I’m doing a deeper dive and sharing a “Low vs. High Spiritual Intelligence” chart from the Radical Radiance book to check where you are shining and where you might need to nourish this inner glow.

What is Spiritual Intelligence?

Here’s an edited excerpt from Radical Radiance, Chapter 3: Illuminate Your Higher Self.

Spiritual Intelligence is the ability to receive the gifts of every positive and negative situation, to have a profound sense of gratitude for what is, and to see the beauty of the higher lesson.

How we see anything is everything, and this is the key to the spiritual intelligence that helps us radiate an inner glow of peace.

Through this source of divinity, we can allow intuitive lessons and messages to come to us in every situation or interaction. We can own our authenticity by knowing what’s right for us, not what society or others superimpose on us.

Spiritual Intelligence helps us respect and embrace the universe’s bigger vision and intention for our lives. We can desire the greater good for everyone and discover lessons, everyday miracles, and easeful manifestations.

Let’s start first by defining how spiritual intelligence looks and feels.

When I started practicing self-love radiance, I discovered a powerful guide within me and began tuning into my Spiritual Intelligence. I turned inward to find a wise, warm, and maternal presence that radiated healing energy.

This presence was my Higher Self or the sage “goddess” in me, and her messages were so nourishing and rejuvenating that the root of my fear, pain, and worries dissipated.

So how do we access our Spiritual Intelligence, aka Higher Selves? This presence is always here for us; our minds and egos are the biggest blocks to this infinite source.

Some access their Higher Selves through the moon, sun, a guardian angel, a divine presence, or their own intuitions.

Here are some ways in which the Higher Self connects, guides, and speaks to us:

1. Challenges and struggles: We surrender to learn a more significant lesson that can guide us to heal and grow.

2. Meditative states: Our Higher Selves impart messages we need to hear when the mind and body relax.

3. Inspirational messages: Insight can come from messages found everywhere, such as podcasts, quotes, song lyrics, and books.

4. Synchronistic experiences: Synchronicity leaves us with a curious sense that we should pay attention. Is it simply a coincidence, or is it our soul’s collaborative spirit?
